Has this a deeper meaning or can we remove it?
It seems to be used once in net.cpp via pnode->Cleanup(); but contains no code.

Supposedly it was added in case CNodes ever need a "cleanup" step before they are put in the disconnected nodes list and eventually deleted.
It's an event handler that is currently empty, but I don't think this is an issue. So I'm closing this... (man, we have 230 issues at the moment, please help closing them instead of making new ones for questions :-) Please use the channels such the mailing list, or IRC.
