Ah yes I saw this, and I think d25e0e3 (#19764) solves this, however I’m not sure if it’s the right fix.

I don’t remember if this was a long-standing bug or a regression, but I think we should investigate and bisect it perhaps?

Looking at https://github.com/bitcoin/bitcoin/blob/f98872f1279e73419bb415a07b919f88db7976f0/depends/funcs.mk#L44 I think the change you are suggesting is correct.

#19764 (review):

I’d be happy to leave this for another PR, and figure out what the right fix is

I believe #19868 is the right fix :)
