Bitcoins work output API #233

    The Bitcoins proof of work process should be directed to something useful instead of arbitrary. Think SETI-style grid computing. All of that processing power should be put to productive use. Just an idea. I'll leave it to smarter people then I to work out the specifics.

    Smarter people have been thinking hard about this for more than a year, with no solution apparent. I'm going to close this; if somebody smart does figure out a way, we'll hear about it.
