wallet rescan doesn't work properly #321

When restoring the wallet from backup to which coins were sent while it was "offline", those transactions show up only when replacing the blockchain with one where the last block is older than the first transaction and then let new blocks be downloaded from the software. When replacing the wallet and leaving blockchain up-to-date only transactions from that moment onwards would show up. This problem still exists even with the newest version of the client.

-rescan seems to work on linux but doesn't (always) work on windows.

In which version was this? Automatic rescanning was added in 0.3.21.
