Database corrupted on Win7 64bit #3485

Running Bitcoin-qt 0.8.5 and have been mining for ~24 hours. Popup suddenly appeared saying "System error: Database corrupted". I thought that this was an apple-only bug... It shows an assertion error in src/main.cpp line 1606. "Expression: pindex->pprev == view.GetBestBlock()"

Was mining using GPU and guiminer. Using rather fresh hardware with i7 and 32GB memory.

I'd suggest to upgrade to version 0.8.6 and run bitcoin-qt.exe with the -reindex option.

Turns out I was already running v0.8.6-beta... Is that new enough?

I reinstalled the client, and copied the blockchain from one of my Linux boxes. I'm currently mining again and everything looks ok so far. I'll keep it running for a few days.
