If I use pywallet to remove all transactions from my wallet, and then run bitcoin -rescan, the transactions appear with date and time set to the moment i ran the command, and not the time when the transactions were performed.

Just tested (as -zapwallettxes does exactly this) and this issue no longer exists on master.
