This makes the process more consistent with the OS X process. There are other changes that should be made with the process, but these are just the factual changes with the process as it stands right now, as well as the change that can be made purely with the instructions.

Another PR is imminent with the process as it should be, requiring some changes to the descriptors, which I don't understand well enough to modify.

See #6343. That should be the one that gets merged, but this one is better than nothing if @theuni doesn't feel like making that other one make sense.
