Note: sourceforge shows MD5 and SHA1 sums for files (poke the i-in-a-circle next to a file), and SHA-1 is the default for the shasum utility.

Seems to me it would be better to sign a SHASUMS that contained BOTH SHA1 and SHA256 checksums.

How would you put both in the same file? Won't verification tools complain? O.o
