    Motivation is that we don’t have a red travis for all platforms when there are issues with a platform independent check.

    Yes, it makes sense to do checks like this only on one target.

    More motivation: checking commits will become slower if SHA512 tree hashes are to be verified. It’s overkill to do it on all platforms.
