In the past two years=20 (2024-04-22=E2=80=932026-04-22), the six BIP Editors left 4108 comments,=20 processed 596 pull requests (382 merged), and facilitated the=20 publication of 42 BIPs.=C2=A0We got a new BIP Process, touched up existing= =20 documents, tidied up abandoned submissions, and fixed up the CI scripts.=20 There is still room for improvement, but I perceive a positive impact on=20 development discussions and an increase in submissions as the BIPs=20 repository became more lively again. I=E2=80=99m proud of what we have achi= eved=20 so far. For most of this time, two BIP Editors contributed most of the work.=20 Then for the first quarter this year, I was the only BIP Editor that=20 regularly contributed to and did the vast majority of the day-to-day=20 work in the repository. I enjoy the work=E2=80=94but we added more BIP Edit= ors=20 two years ago because it=E2=80=99s more than a one-person job. I=E2=80=99m grateful for my colleagues=E2=80=99 contributions as well as th= e splendid=20 advice they=E2=80=99ve provided in our many discussions, and thankful that = they=20 volunteered to serve the community! After two years, I propose that we refresh the BIP Editor team. My=20 recommendation would be to aim for three BIP Editors that are all keen=20 on regularly contributing to the BIP Editor work in the repository.
