   Python 3.x is now the default python formula in homebrew. https://brew.sh/2018/01/19/homebrew-1.5.0/ has some more info.

   Hmm, so this will break with older versions of brew? Considering that they “will maintain python2, python3 and python@3 aliases”, I am slightly -0 on this.

   Isn’t brew self-updating? From my experience, the number of people using old versions of stuff on MacOSX is really low.

   But yes, there’s no hurry to do this if they maintain the python3 alias.
