Failing build on Ubuntu 17.10 #13224

I cloned the repo, checked out on v0.9.5, downloaded the dependencies, ran ./autogen.sh followed by ./configure ./autogen.sh gave this output: https://pastebin.com/7zVP2np5 ./configure ran successfully make gives the following error:

0.9.5 has reached it's end of life, and no longer receives patches/updates. There are no guarantees it will compile. Please use a more recent release.
