Fixed some minor errors.
I noticed that both 'eg' and 'e.g.' are used in this file, so I've standardized this by replacing all occurences of 'eg' with 'e.g.' (which I think is the more appropriate option).

Update README.md

I am a little bit meh but I'll Concept ACK.
You will need to close this PR though and open a new PR though as the contribution guidelines state you need to create a topic branch rather than opening it from master in your forked repo. Also the title of the new PR should have a title of "doc: Typos in test README" rather than what it is now "Update README.md"
