For use in P2Pool we not need "data" fields. We work on hashes. Maybe add optional bool to disable full output? This would decrease GBT much.

NACK, GBT is not exclusively for p2pool, it is a standard. See BIP 22 & 23.

This sounds incorrect to me in any case. P2pool needs the data for transaction preforwarding.
Also, I'd want to see someone demonstrate a performance improvement before bothering to suggest changing it.

Just adding an example: https://blockchain.info/tx/6dad36cbfca544df4b2608dd38df0e9a91061075c780cf10acdc74e6d7f00504 which is 87k and 588 inputs added 0.3sec to GBT.
