    Is there an existing issue for this?

    • I have searched the existing issues

    Current behaviour

    I am trying to load BT core for the first time and it is not completing because the GUI closes unexpectedly.

    Expected behaviour

    I expect the sync to complete and for the client to remain open.

    Steps to reproduce

    Open client.

    Relevant log output

    Nothing relevant as the log just stops and I have to restart the client.

    How did you obtain Bitcoin Core

    Package manager

    What version of Bitcoin Core are you using?

    v26.0.0

    Operating system and version

    Ubuntu 22.04 LTS

    Machine specifications

    Ubuntu, Single CPU, 4g Mem, SSD, Wired internet 100M

    Drive is internal and fully accessible as its the same drive as the OS install. I see the title as “running out of memory”, is that the actuall issue?

    I just rebooted and restarted the application. I will post if/when it crashes again. Its been running for the longest that I have seen so far.

    Sorry I should have been more clear. It launches and there is no response (likely because it’s still syncing) and then at some point I can see the timestamp of the log stop.
