Add Bitcoin logo to repository for improved branding

    Motivation

This change adds a logo to the repository to enhance its branding and make it more visually engaging for visitors and contributors. Including a recognizable logo helps improve the overall presentation and reinforces the Bitcoin project’s identity.

    Changes

    • Added the Bitcoin logo (bitcoin-logo.svg) to the repository under the assets directory.
    • Updated the README.md to include the following line:
      0![Bitcoin](./assets/bitcoin-logo.svg)

    Testing

Verified that the image displays correctly in the README.md.

    Comments for Reviewers

I’ve included one version of the Bitcoin logo. If there are preferences for alternate designs or placements, I’m happy to update it accordingly. Let me know if further adjustments are needed.

NACK. This is a software project, not a nail studio. Even if it was useful to delay the actual useful content with a filler, this is just going to invite bikeshedding of the form: What background colour to use? … Depending on the background colour and transparency, what foreground colour to use? … Should there be text, and if yes, what should the text say? …

If someone needed something visual, there is already a link in the very next line, which they can visit.

Thank you for your feedback. I understand your concern, but I’d like to point out that I’ve made similar changes for other open-source projects, such as Brave Browser, and they were well-received. In those cases, adding branding elements like logos didn’t distract from the core development work.

I believe that different contributors have different roles within the project. Not everyone is involved in the core development of functionality—some are focused on documentation, design, or user experience. Including a logo for branding purposes will not interfere with anyone working on the technical aspects of the project, as it doesn’t affect the functionality or the codebase.

Adding a logo is a simple yet effective way to improve the project’s presentation, especially for new visitors, without detracting from the overall goals of the project.

I hope this clarifies my position, and I’m happy to discuss further if necessary.

I think the README is currently fine as-is.
