Release Schedule for 31.0 #33607

   Here is a proposed release schedule for v31.0, the next major release of Bitcoin Core. The dates are set to target a release in early April.

   2026-02-06 :heavy_check_mark:

   • Open Transifex translations for v31.0
   • Soft translation string freeze (no large or non-critical string changes until release)
   • Finalize and close translations for v29.0

   2026-02-20 ✔️ :

   • Feature freeze (bug fixes only until release)
   • Translation string freeze (no more source language changes until release)

   2026-03-10 :construction:

   • Anything needed before branch-off, see https://github.com/bitcoin/bitcoin/blob/master/doc/release-process.md
   • Split off 31.x branch from master
   • Start RC cycle, tag and release v31.0rc1
   • Start merging for 32.x on master branch

   2026-04-10 :construction:

   • Tag v31.0 (aim).

    For Polish: I translated the brand new labels. I went to review everything for completeness. I found some typos and errors and fixed them, but I also found some translated gaps (about 150 out of 1200+) which I’ll translate. I should have it tomorrow’ish.

    The LLM translation review is a valuable tool. Errors that made sense were fixed in the French translation.

    Sorry for my late reaction. Czech translation should be completed except two strings which I am not able to save after edit.

    Have a look at the [1] [other] buttons at the top right side of Transiflex. You need to provide both translations to press the save button.
