Automatic sanity-testing: PASSED, see http://jenkins.bluematt.me/pull-tester/p4529_0d7cf3aa25a3f88f7d265fb67ae5fff67094a32e/ for binaries and test log. This test script verifies pulls every time they are updated. It, however, dies sometimes and fails to test properly. If you are waiting on a test, please check timestamps to verify that the test.log is moving at http://jenkins.bluematt.me/pull-tester/current/ Contact BlueMatt on freenode if something looks broken.

bitcoinstrings.cpp is an auto-generated file (generated by extract_strings.py), changing it is pointless. If you want to change this string you need to find it in the code in src/.

The change is incorrect in any case. The purpose of the message is that users are bad at generating secure "passwords". The one recommended is cryptographically generated, they should actually use it.
