    If other people want to remove this I don't care— though sometimes I've found the commented out debugging code useful, at least so long as it's not bitrotted. "Ah, here is where/how I can print this if I'm working on it."

    I actually uncommented that line yesterday while testing something, and I wasn't even aware we had a block.print() function until I saw it conveniently in the code I was looking at...

    A dev is free to close this, when you want to keep it. At least such a pull can lead to think again over certain parts in the code and that's also positive IMHO :).

    I don't care about removing this. Let's just keep it if it is useful sometimes.

    BTW this is not the traditional meaning of "dead code". That term usually applies to code that is never executed, not comments.
