arch's python maintainers dont bother to follow https://www.python.org/dev/peps/pep-0394/, so you have to use python2 on arch systems to get tests to run...This should work fine on every Linux system Ive ever seen, though I'd like to hear from someone at least on OSX about whether this work for them.

utACK, the PEP also says scripts should use 'python2' and not 'python' as implemented in this PR
